This artwork by Qian Zai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2007. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Bamboo sold for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 15,298.20) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Qian Zai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Plum Blossoms In Ink in May 2005 with an auction result of HKD 1,200,000.00 (€ 124,965.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qian Zai erzielte im November 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings & Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Bamboo für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 15.298,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qian Zai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Plum Blossoms In Ink im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.200.000,00 (€ 124.965,58).
