The work Iris by Qian Zai was worth HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,868.42) to a buyer in May 2019. This price was achieved in the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qian Zai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plum Blossoms In Ink in May 2005 with an auction result of HKD 1,200,000.00 (€ 124,965.58).

Die Arbeit Iris von Qian Zai war einem Käufer im Mai 2019 HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.868,42) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qian Zai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plum Blossoms In Ink im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.200.000,00 (€ 124.965,58).
