Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seven-Character Calligraphic Couplet In Clerical Script by Qian Yong was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,642.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qian Yong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 42,249.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Seven-Character Calligraphic Couplet In Clerical Script von Qian Yong wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.642,69) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qian Yong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 42.249,37).
