A top price for Qian Yong
The work Calligraphy by Qian Yong was worth HKD 375,000.00 (€ 42,249.37) to a buyer in April 2016. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Calligraphy the most expensive artwork by Qian Yong that we have observed at auctions so far.
