Two inscriptions by the artist, signed with a total of four seals
One inscription dated seventh day, seventh month, fourteenth year of the Jiaqing era (1809)
Titleslip by the artist on album cover, dedicated to Takashima Shuhan, signed, with two seals
NOTE:
Previously in the collection of Takashima Shuhan (1798-1866). Mr Takashima was an artillerist in the late Edo period and a founder of Takashima style gunnery.

The work Running Script Calligraphy after Zhao Mengfu by Qian Yong was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. It achieved a price of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 13,635.66), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 72%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qian Yong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy, which sold at auction in April 2016 for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 42,249.37).

Die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphy after Zhao Mengfu von Qian Yong kam im Mai 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 13.635,66) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 72%. Für andere Arbeiten von Qian Yong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy beobachtet, die im April 2016 für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 42.249,37) versteigert wurde.
