The work Chrysanthemums by Qian Weiqiao was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2017. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,697.88) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qian Weiqiao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes After Old Masters in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 550,000.00 (€ 489,410.93).

Die Arbeit Chrysanthemums von Qian Weiqiao wurde im September 2017 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.697,88) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qian Weiqiao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes After Old Masters im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 550.000,00 (€ 489.410,93).
