Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2006 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work By the River Bank by Qian Weiqiao. It changed hands for a price of HKD 240,000.00 (€ 23,274.26) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 200,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qian Weiqiao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes After Old Masters in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 550,000.00 (€ 489,410.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2006 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit By the River Bank von Qian Weiqiao zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 240.000,00 (€ 23.274,26) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 250.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qian Weiqiao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes After Old Masters im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 550.000,00 (€ 489.410,93).
