Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Peony by Qian Weicheng was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 8,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 9,440.00 (€ 1,010.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qian Weicheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work River Landscapes in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 16,840,000.00 (€ 1,947,606.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Peony von Qian Weicheng kam im April 2021 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 8.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 9.440,00 (€ 1.010,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qian Weicheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit River Landscapes im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 16.840.000,00 (€ 1.947.606,24).
