This artwork by Qian Dian achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Ten Characters Couplet In Clerical Script sold for HKD 141,600.00 (€ 16,184.67) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 55,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qian Dian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Seal Script, which sold at auction in September 2016 for USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,593.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qian Dian erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Ten Characters Couplet In Clerical Script für HKD 141.600,00 (€ 16.184,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 55.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Qian Dian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Seal Script beobachtet, die im September 2016 für USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.593,52) versteigert wurde.
