This artwork by Qian Dian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2013. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal auction, the work Couplet In Seal Script sold for USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,850.02) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Qian Dian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Seal Script in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,593.52).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Qian Dian erzielte im September 2013 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal wurde die Arbeit Couplet In Seal Script für USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.850,02) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qian Dian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Seal Script im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.593,52).
