Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Qian Dian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2014. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Couplet in Seal Script sold for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 15,368.40) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qian Dian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Seal Script, which sold at auction in September 2016 for USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,593.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qian Dian erzielte im Mai 2014 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Couplet in Seal Script für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 15.368,40) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Qian Dian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Seal Script beobachtet, die im September 2016 für USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.593,52) versteigert wurde.
