Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Qi Zhijia achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Mi Fu’S Poem In Running Script sold for HKD 625,000.00 (€ 68,788.63) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qi Zhijia - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Winter Landscape, which sold at auction in September 2016 for USD 200,000.00 (€ 177,967.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qi Zhijia erzielte im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Mi Fu’S Poem In Running Script für HKD 625.000,00 (€ 68.788,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Qi Zhijia mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Winter Landscape beobachtet, die im September 2016 für USD 200.000,00 (€ 177.967,61) versteigert wurde.
