In March 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Landscape by Qi Zhijia. The »bidding war« ended at USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,472.75), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qi Zhijia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Winter Landscape in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 177,967.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im März 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Qi Zhijia zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.472,75) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qi Zhijia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Winter Landscape im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 177.967,61).
