This artwork by Qi Zhijia achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2013. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal auction, the work Landscape After Various Masters And Poems In Cursive Script sold for USD 100,000.00 (€ 73,882.53) - well above the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qi Zhijia - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Winter Landscape, which sold at auction in September 2016 for USD 200,000.00 (€ 177,967.61).
