This artwork by Qi Zhijia achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2012. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy in Cursive Script sold for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 18,591.47) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Qi Zhijia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Winter Landscape in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 177,967.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qi Zhijia erzielte im November 2012 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy in Cursive Script für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 18.591,47) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qi Zhijia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Winter Landscape im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 177.967,61).
