Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy In Cursive Script by Qi Zhijia. The price achieved of USD 11,875.00 (€ 8,619.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qi Zhijia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Winter Landscape in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 177,967.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Cursive Script von Qi Zhijia zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 8.619,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qi Zhijia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Winter Landscape im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 177.967,61).
