Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Viewing Waterfall by Qi Kun was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The price achieved of HKD 18,900.00 (€ 2,264.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 12,000.00 – 22,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qi Kun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 93,006.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Viewing Waterfall von Qi Kun wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 18.900,00 (€ 2.264,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 12.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qi Kun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.000.000,00 (€ 93.006,49).
