It achieved a price of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 12,144.22), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 52%. Admittedly, works by Qi Kun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscapes in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 93,006.49).

Die Arbeit Sailing In The Autumn Waters von Qi Kun kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 12.144,22) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 52%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qi Kun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscapes im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.000.000,00 (€ 93.006,49).
