Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Contemplating in Winter by Qi Kun. The price achieved of HKD 25,200.00 (€ 2,991.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qi Kun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 93,006.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Contemplating in Winter von Qi Kun zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 25.200,00 (€ 2.991,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qi Kun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.000.000,00 (€ 93.006,49).
