In March 2019 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Important Collections of Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from Asia, which included the work Poet Under Pine Tree by Qi Kun. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 56,640.00 (€ 6,426.73), 42% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qi Kun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 93,006.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Im März 2019 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Important Collections of Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from Asia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poet Under Pine Tree von Qi Kun zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 56.640,00 (€ 6.426,73) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qi Kun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.000.000,00 (€ 93.006,49).
