Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Boundless Vista Is At The Perilous Peak by Pu Jie was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 20,000.00 (€ 2,276.58). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pu Jie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Internet Time No. 9 in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 36,000.00 (€ 26,917.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Boundless Vista Is At The Perilous Peak von Pu Jie im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 20.000,00 (€ 2.276,58) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pu Jie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Internet Time No. 9 im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 26.917,90).
