In November 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Poem From Gu Kuang – On The River by Pu Jie. The auction ended at the price of HKD 15,000.00 (€ 1,619.52), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 12,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pu Jie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Internet Time No. 9 in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 36,000.00 (€ 26,917.90).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poem From Gu Kuang – On The River von Pu Jie zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 15.000,00 (€ 1.619,52) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 12.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pu Jie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Internet Time No. 9 im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 26.917,90).
