Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Australian bush Camp by Pro Hart was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of AUD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for AUD 5,760.00 (€ 3,362.39). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pro Hart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian Burning Myxo Rabbits, which sold at auction in May 2007 for AUD 19,200.00 (€ 11,805.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Australian bush Camp von Pro Hart im August 2008 bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für AUD 5.760,00 (€ 3.362,39) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Pro Hart mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian Burning Myxo Rabbits beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für AUD 19.200,00 (€ 11.805,72) versteigert wurde.
