Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tabletop Still Life: Books And Teapot by Preston Dickinson was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,164.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Preston Dickinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life No. 1 in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 665,000.00 (€ 534,651.87).

Die Arbeit Tabletop Still Life: Books And Teapot von Preston Dickinson wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 16.164,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
