Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Industrial Landscape by Preston Dickinson for USD 71,500.00 (€ 51,368.63). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Preston Dickinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life No. 1 in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 665,000.00 (€ 534,651.87).
