This price was achieved in the auction South Asian Art at Christies in Mumbai and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of INR 200,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Prabhakar Barwe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Chess-Board in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 302,400.00 (€ 333,445.16).
