Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figures eating and drinking in an interior by Pietro Longhi was sold in the Old Masters Day Sale auction at Christies in London in July 2017. The price achieved of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 62,766.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pietro Longhi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Elephant in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,314,500.00 (€ 1,005,046.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Figures eating and drinking in an interior von Pietro Longhi wurde im Juli 2017 in der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 62.766,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pietro Longhi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Elephant im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.314.500,00 (€ 1.005.046,26).
