In October 2021 Christies held the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work Il risveglio della dama (The waking of the lady) by Pietro Longhi. The result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 86,565.10) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pietro Longhi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Elephant in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,314,500.00 (€ 1,005,046.26).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Il risveglio della dama (The waking of the lady) von Pietro Longhi zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 86.565,10) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pietro Longhi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Elephant im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.314.500,00 (€ 1.005.046,26).
