Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A young lady, in red velvet dress with falling lace collar, double-strand of pearls about her neck, brown upswept hair dressed in ringlets by Pietro de Rossi was sold in the Important Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes auction at Christies in London in December 2008. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,676.02), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pietro de Rossi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Count Alexei Fyodorovich Orlov, Later Prince Orlov (1786-1861) in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 70,498.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A young lady, in red velvet dress with falling lace collar, double-strand of pearls about her neck, brown upswept hair dressed in ringlets von Pietro de Rossi wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion Important Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes bei Christies in London versteigert.
