In the Important Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes auction, the work Count Sergei Grigor'vich Stroganov (1794-1882), in silver-piped black uniform with red collar, silver epaulettes, wearing the badges of the Imperial Russian Order of St. Vladimir and the Order of St. John of Jerusalem; nocturnal sky background sold for GBP 31,700.00 (€ 44,388.20) - well above the upper estimate Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pietro de Rossi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait Of Count Alexei Fyodorovich Orlov, Later Prince Orlov (1786-1861) sold at auction in November 2018 with the realized price of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 70,498.10).
