The work Jacob Wrestling With The Angel by Pietro Antonio Novelli was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2013. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,713.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pietro Antonio Novelli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Neptune, Standing, Facing Left, A Dolphin At His Feet , which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 11,400.00 (€ 16,931.63).
