Dutch and Flemish Drawings from 1500-1900 auction, the work Studies Of Butterflies, Moths, Flies, A Beetle And A Slowworm sold for EUR 15,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pieter Withoos; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Studies Of Insects, Including Two Long-Horned Beetles (Batocera Octomaculata And Eurycephalus Maxillosus), A Nine-Spotted Moth (Amata Phegea), A Yellow-Shell Butterfly (Camptogramma Bilineata) And A Bumblebee (Bombus Hortorum) sold at auction in July 2019 with the realized price of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 24,703.50).
