In December 2019 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Drawings: Online, which included the work A common passion flower (Passiflora caerulea) by Pieter Withoos. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,432.06), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Pieter Withoos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Studies Of Insects, Including Two Long-Horned Beetles (Batocera Octomaculata And Eurycephalus Maxillosus), A Nine-Spotted Moth (Amata Phegea), A Yellow-Shell Butterfly (Camptogramma Bilineata) And A Bumblebee (Bombus Hortorum) in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 24,703.50).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.432,06) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter Withoos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Studies Of Insects, Including Two Long-Horned Beetles (Batocera Octomaculata And Eurycephalus Maxillosus), A Nine-Spotted Moth (Amata Phegea), A Yellow-Shell Butterfly (Camptogramma Bilineata) And A Bumblebee (Bombus Hortorum) im Juli 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 24.703,50).
