This artwork by Pieter Schenk achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2002. In the THE DUTCH INTERIOR INCLUDING V.O.C. & FORMER DUTCH COLONIES auction, the work Amstelaedami Novissina delineatio sold for EUR 1,553.50 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter Schenk - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Views of The Hague, which sold at auction in April 2002 for EUR 5,640.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pieter Schenk erzielte im September 2002 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion THE DUTCH INTERIOR INCLUDING V.O.C. & FORMER DUTCH COLONIES wurde die Arbeit Amstelaedami Novissina delineatio für EUR 1.553,50 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 600,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pieter Schenk mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Views of The Hague beobachtet, die im April 2002 für EUR 5.640,00 versteigert wurde.
