Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Works on Paper, which included the work A Peasant Family Approaching A Tower On A Wooded Hill by Pieter de Molijn. The price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,621.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pieter de Molijn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A winter village landscape with peasants on a frozen waterway in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 88,641.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Peasant Family Approaching A Tower On A Wooded Hill von Pieter de Molijn zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 19.621,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter de Molijn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A winter village landscape with peasants on a frozen waterway im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 88.641,22).
