The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,659.14), 61% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Pieter de Molijn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A winter village landscape with peasants on a frozen waterway in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 88,641.22).

Die Arbeit A panoramic dune landscape von Pieter de Molijn wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion The Martin Feldstein Collection: Dutch Art in the Golden Age bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 9.659,14) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter de Molijn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A winter village landscape with peasants on a frozen waterway im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 88.641,22).
