Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape with a waggon being attacked by brigands by Pieter de Molijn was sold in the Old Master & British Works on Paper auction at Sothebys in London in July 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,890.00 (€ 2,216.42) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter de Molijn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A winter village landscape with peasants on a frozen waterway in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 88,641.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape with a waggon being attacked by brigands von Pieter de Molijn wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Old Master & British Works on Paper bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.890,00 (€ 2.216,42) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter de Molijn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A winter village landscape with peasants on a frozen waterway im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 88.641,22).
