In the Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni auction, the work Viola; Dobbelde Violet, Groote Witte Violet, Violet Admirant; A Pair Of Botanical Watercolors changed hands for USD 2,813.00 (€ 2,150.78) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Holsteyn the Younger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A tulip book: a volume containing 42 drawings of tulips and one added drawing of a tulip, and another drawing of an iris in April 2002 with an auction result of GBP 124,750.00 (€ 201,842.23).
