Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Lot and his Daughters by Pieter Holsteyn the Younger for GBP 687.50 (€ 823.38). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolours at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Holsteyn the Younger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A tulip book: a volume containing 42 drawings of tulips and one added drawing of a tulip, and another drawing of an iris in April 2002 with an auction result of GBP 124,750.00 (€ 201,842.23).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A tulip book: a volume containing 42 drawings of tulips and one added drawing of a tulip, and another drawing of an iris im April 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 124.750,00 (€ 201.842,23).
