Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt, which included the work A Penguin by Pieter Holsteyn the Younger. The price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,016.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Holsteyn the Younger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A tulip book: a volume containing 42 drawings of tulips and one added drawing of a tulip, and another drawing of an iris in April 2002 with an auction result of GBP 124,750.00 (€ 201,842.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Penguin von Pieter Holsteyn the Younger zur Versteigerung kam. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A tulip book: a volume containing 42 drawings of tulips and one added drawing of a tulip, and another drawing of an iris im April 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 124.750,00 (€ 201.842,23).
