The work Homage To Bacchus by Pieter de Grebber was sold in the Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2007. It achieved a price of EUR 66,000.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 65 %. Admittedly, works by Pieter de Grebber have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of a young man in Persian dress in January 2005 with an auction result of USD 430,400.00 (€ 329,833.70).

Die Arbeit Homage To Bacchus von Pieter de Grebber wurde im Januar 2007 in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 66.000,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 65 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter de Grebber auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of a young man in Persian dress im Januar 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 430.400,00 (€ 329.833,70).
