Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Woman by Pieter de Grebber was sold in the Master Paintings and Sculpture: Part II auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2015. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,500.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter de Grebber achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a young man in Persian dress in January 2005 with an auction result of USD 430,400.00 (€ 329,833.70).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Woman von Pieter de Grebber wurde im Januar 2015 in der Auktion Master Paintings and Sculpture: Part II bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.500,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter de Grebber erzielen.
