Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Weldon Collection, which included the work Bust-Length Portrait Of A Woman In An Interior by Pieter de Grebber. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 27,996.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter de Grebber achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a young man in Persian dress in January 2005 with an auction result of USD 430,400.00 (€ 329,833.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Weldon Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bust-Length Portrait Of A Woman In An Interior von Pieter de Grebber zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 27.996,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter de Grebber erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a young man in Persian dress im Januar 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 430.400,00 (€ 329.833,70).
