In the Old Master Pictures auction, the work The Continence of Scipio sold for GBP 10,800.00 (€ 15,809.93) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Codde achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Family Portrait With Husband, Wife And Two Daughters Seated At A Table Draped In Red Cloth, A Son Playing A Lute, Another Son Holding A Fiddle Beside A Lady Playing The Virginal, A Maidservant Pouring Wine By The Window, And A Dog Resting On The Floor in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 245,000.00 (€ 347
