Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Elegant Company Making Music by Pieter Codde for USD 68,500.00 (€ 52,374.03). This price was achieved in the auction Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Pieter Codde have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Family Portrait With Husband, Wife And Two Daughters Seated At A Table Draped In Red Cloth, A Son Playing A Lute, Another Son Holding A Fiddle Beside A Lady Playing The Virginal, A Maidservant Pouring Wine By The Window, And A Dog Resting On The Floor in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 245,000.00 (€ 347,
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Elegant Company Making Music von Pieter Codde für USD 68.500,00 (€ 52.374,03) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00.
