Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Weldon Collection, which included the work An Interior With Musicians Seated Around A Table by Pieter Codde. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 162,500.00 (€ 145,583.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter Codde - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Family Portrait With Husband, Wife And Two Daughters Seated At A Table Draped In Red Cloth, A Son Playing A Lute, Another Son Holding A Fiddle Beside A Lady Playing The Virginal, A Maidservant Pouring Wine By The Window, And A Dog Resting On The Floor, which sold at auction in July 2015 for GBP 245,000.00 (€ 347,327.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Weldon Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Interior With Musicians Seated Around A Table von Pieter Codde zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 145.583,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Pieter Codde mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Family Portrait With Husband, Wife And Two Daughters Seated At A Table Draped In Red Cloth, A Son Playing A Lute, Another Son Holding A Fiddle Beside A Lady Playing The Virginal, A Maidservant Pouring Wine By The Window, And A Dog Resting On The Floor beobachtet, die im Juli 2015 für GBP 245.000,00 (€ 347.327,71) versteigert wurde.
