In the Master Paintings & Sculpture Day Sale auction, the work Still Life With Herring, Roemer, Salt Cellar, Overturned Beaker, Nuts, Knife, And Lemon On A Draped Table sold for USD 150,000.00 (€ 138,478.58) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Claesz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life Of Lemons And Olives, Pewter Plates, A Roemer And A Façon-De-Venise Wine Glass On A Ledge in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,805,000.00 (€ 2,144,730.48).
