Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 819,000.00 (€ 754,282.56) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter Claesz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life Of Lemons And Olives, Pewter Plates, A Roemer And A Façon-De-Venise Wine Glass On A Ledge, which sold at auction in July 2016 for GBP 1,805,000.00 (€ 2,144,730.48).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 819.000,00 (€ 754.282,56) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
