In the Master Paintings: Part I auction, the work A Roemer, An Overturned Pewter Jug, Olives And A Half-Peeled Lemon On Pewter Plates changed hands for USD 1,925,000.00 (€ 1,705,048.72) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. Other works by Pieter Claesz have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in July 2016 by the work Still Life Of Lemons And Olives, Pewter Plates, A Roemer And A Façon-De-Venise Wine Glass On A Ledge at GBP 1,805,000.00 (€ 2,144,730.48).
