Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Casteels III achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Twelve Months of Flowers, a floral calendar of still lifes: January; February; March; April; May; June; July; August; September; October; November; and December in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 1,640,000.00 (€ 1,328,042.76).

Die Arbeit Still Life Of Flowers In A Gilt Urn On A Stone Ledge von Pieter Casteels III wurde im Dezember 2016 in der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
